Site Management

As Klinikos has an Investigator Group of Sites (GPs) in community based medicine, we were asked to use this group to facilitate recruitment in a phase IV study in gastroenterology. The pharmaceutical client had monitoring resource but lacked good quality sites in the UK.

Outcome

Klinikos provided a chief Investigator together with 20 GP practice centres in the UK and submitted for central ethics and local R and D approvals plus collection of essential documentation for each site. This led to reduced submission and approval of the centres enabling the client to start the study in line with their timelines and achieve the required recruitment.

Criteria for success (Key words – pre-qualified sites, ethics submission)

Local knowledge of the Investigator and submission process can save time for the Client. Each day lost in recruitment is very costly to the Client. Klinikos reduced the recruitment timelines by 56 days – a considerable saving for the client!
