Roy Fraser - Managing Director

With over 25 years in the pharmaceutical industry, Roy has held a variety of roles in sales, marketing and R & D in Pharma, Biotech and SMOs.

Graduating in Chemistry from Glasgow University, Roy started in sales and marketing with Eli-Lilly. He then moved within the company to concentrate on the clinical and strategic development of Prozac.

Departing in 1988, Roy became Sales Director for a Scottish Biotech – Fermentech. In 1994, Roy formed Iatro – a community based research company that managed clinical Investigator Sites through the provision and management of Iatro research nurses. After 6 years at the helm, Roy sold Iatro to Synexus – the largest Site Management Organisation (SMO) in Europe where for 8 years he was Business Development Director part-time.

During this period, Roy identified a niche to provide monitoring experience to pharmaceutical companies with CRA headcount problems which resulted in the formation of Klinikos.

Roy left Synexus in 2008 to further develop experienced Investigator Sites in the UK and Ireland (Klinikos Pre-Qualified Sites) that would through faster performance counteract the UK image of regulatory bureaucracy and poor recruitment.

With a solid background in phase II-IV studies with Pharmaceutical Sponsors and Investigator Sites, Roy’s experience guarantees that Klinikos understands the needs and requirements of both camps to ensure projects are completed on time.
